A message about events this morning, 9/27/2017

This morning at approximately 10:45 we experienced a small fire in our kitchen.  Students were immediately evacuated from the school and our staff was able to distinguish the fire quickly.  The Lexington fire department responded promptly, assessed the situation, and approved for us to return students and staff to the building.

With the help of the Lexington 1 food service staff and Carolina Springs Middle School food service staff, we were able to feed all students today.  We are currently assessing the food service options for tomorrow and we will have food for all students, however, it may not be was is posted on the school menu.

WKHS Orchestra participates in the SC Cello Choir Workshop at USC

On Saturday, 9/23, White Knoll High School orchestra students Tristan Groscost, Marguerite Azzara, Ephraim Zimmerman, and Leandra Watts participated in the 2017 South Carolina Cello Choir Workshop at the University of South Carolina.  (see attached brochure for more info on the event).

The Workshop was lead by Grammy Award-Winning cellist Zuill Bailey.  The students interacted with and even performed a concert alongside Mr. Bailey.  It was a great experience for these students and the performance on Saturday night was amazing.

Please help me in congratulating these students for their accomplishment!
